1. Who operates BRIDAL RITUAL

BRIDAL RITUAL Singapore is created and operated by J’adore Wedding Co., Ltd. (J’adore Wedding株式会社), Japan, through its Wedding Sommelier brand. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to that company.

We intend to handle personal data in accordance with applicable Singapore personal data protection requirements and applicable Japanese law.

2. Personal data collected at registration

The Singapore membership form requests your name, age range, email address, Instagram account, whether you currently live in Singapore, wedding stage, expected or actual wedding month, wedding location, how you heard about BRIDAL RITUAL, and your membership and personal data consent choices. Other social media accounts are optional. Submission timestamps and response identifiers are generated by the form service.

A wedding date may be entered as “Not decided yet”. We do not request a home address, telephone number, identity number, passport number, full date of birth, payment details or health information at membership registration.

3. Why we use this information

We use registration information to administer membership, check eligibility and campaign relevance, send registration confirmations, contact you about membership, and share Japanese beauty campaigns and members-only invitations by email or Instagram. Wedding and age-range information supports relevance and campaign eligibility; referral-source information helps us understand how members find the service.

We also use information to answer enquiries, administer voluntary campaign participation, prevent duplicate or improper submissions, maintain consent records, and produce statistics that do not identify individual members. We will notify you and seek any required consent before using your information for a new purpose.

Membership is free. Registration does not guarantee a BEAUTY GIFT, an invitation or participation in every campaign.

4. Information collected for particular campaigns

Only if you choose to participate in a campaign requiring delivery, we may separately request a delivery address and necessary recipient or contact information. We will explain the campaign-specific purposes, recipients and any overseas processing before collecting this information.

Reviews, feedback, photographs or health-related suitability information are not collected through the general membership form. Any later request must be necessary for the particular campaign and accompanied by appropriate notice and consent.

5. Consent and your choices

Required fields are marked in the form. We cannot process membership registration without information reasonably needed for membership administration and your relevant consent. The optional social media field may be left blank. You do not have to buy anything or participate in any campaign.

You may contact us at info@jadore-wdg.com to withdraw consent to campaign communications or to other uses of your personal data, with reasonable notice. We will explain any effect on your membership or a campaign you have chosen to join, and stop the affected processing unless continued processing is required or permitted by applicable law. We will not require consent to purposes beyond what is reasonable to provide the service.

6. Partner brands and other recipients

For general membership registration and routine membership administration, we do not provide partner brands with your name, email address, wedding information or other personal data.

For a specific campaign that you voluntarily join, a partner brand may receive your Instagram account for participant confirmation and campaign administration. Other necessary information may be provided to fulfilment or delivery providers. The relevant notice will identify the recipients or recipient categories, information and purposes before the disclosure, and consent will be obtained where required.

Service providers processing data on our behalf may receive only information needed for their tasks. We may also disclose information where legally required or otherwise permitted by applicable law. This policy does not authorise unrestricted disclosure to brands.

7. Japan, overseas transfers and external services

BRIDAL RITUAL is operated from Japan, where Natsuko Sakai manages membership information. We use Google Forms, Google Sheets and Google Apps Script through a standard consumer Google account, with Gmail used for membership email communications.

Google may process or store information on servers outside Singapore and Japan, in countries where Google or its service providers operate. Its handling of information is governed by the Google Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy. Google states that the protections in its privacy policy apply wherever information is processed. We do not promise that information is stored only in Singapore or Japan.

We remain responsible for taking appropriate measures under applicable law when membership information is accessed or processed overseas. We review the relevant provider privacy and security practices, limit our organisation’s access to the Data Protection Officer, and use information only for the purposes described in this policy. We will assess applicable safeguards before introducing a new provider or data use.

Instagram is a separate service operated by Meta. Visiting its website or communicating there is also subject to its policies.

8. Security, access and accuracy

Within J’adore Wedding Co., Ltd., access to membership responses is limited to Natsuko Sakai, our Data Protection Officer. Individual answers and response summaries are not made public. Google’s processing of information is described in section 7.

We use account security and access controls and take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access, use, disclosure, alteration or loss. We will take reasonable steps to keep relevant data accurate.

If a data breach occurs, we will assess it and make any notifications to the PDPC or affected individuals required by applicable law.

9. Retention and deletion

We retain personal data only while needed for the notified membership or campaign purposes, or a necessary business or legal purpose. When that need ends, we delete or anonymise the information.

When you withdraw from membership, we delete or anonymise your membership registration information in the records we control within three days after receiving your withdrawal request. This includes the relevant form responses, spreadsheet entries and any copies or exports we hold. We stop using that information for membership communications.

If limited records must be retained to meet a legal requirement or handle an existing complaint, we retain only what is necessary for that purpose, restrict access and do not use those records for campaign invitations.

The three-day period applies to the membership records we control. Google’s service-level deletion and backup processes follow Google’s data retention policy; removal from our records does not mean that every internal Google backup is erased within three days.

10. Access, correction, complaints and withdrawal

You may request access to personal data we hold about you and information about its use or disclosure during the applicable period, correction of inaccurate or incomplete data, withdrawal of consent, or a review of retention or deletion by emailing info@jadore-wdg.com. Requests are subject to applicable law and exceptions; deletion is not presented as an unconditional statutory right.

We may ask for reasonable information to verify your identity and locate the relevant records. We will explain any permitted fee before charging it and handle requests within applicable requirements. You may also raise concerns with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Commission.

11. Eligibility and updates

The membership form follows the existing programme’s age bands beginning at 18 and welcomes brides-to-be, including those whose wedding date is undecided, and newlywed women whose wedding took place within the past 18 months. Singapore residency and campaign-specific requirements will be checked as appropriate. There is no invitation requirement to register as a member.

We will update the published policy if the service or relevant requirements change, and communicate material changes appropriately.
